Oh Life, You're Looking Up.

Sun Jul 19, 2009, 3:51 PM
  • Mood: Zest
  • Listening to: On the Wing by Owl City
  • Reading: Bible, GQ, Fire To Fire
  • Playing: Sims Theme Park
  • Eating: Dinner, then cookies!
  • Drinking: Da wata
So, anyone who knows me and my family knows my life has been crazy lately.
What with my sister getting engaged, my brother Lee's going away party/ going to Army Basic Training, and then my sister getting married . . . Well, it's been crazy to saw the least.
In the midst of that I've been getting into the Word way more, and it's really helping me. Things are finally looking up. I got a job interview, some new stuff from my parents, and we all went to church together for the first time in a few weeks.
I'm not looking for a man right now, just focusing on my faith, goals, and life in general. :)

Anyway, the reason this is dA-related is because my life contributes to my work so much. Some of my current inspiration is because of everything that's been happening.

I just wanted to say that you have an amazing gallery and an incredible tallent. It has a sense of spirituality that begs to be heard. Which is a beautiful thing, I must say. :) Your work almost makes me want to throw my own journal out, lol. Keep it up, my friend!

I'm really glad you appreciate my work, but never throw away anything you've done! Just build on it! :)

I do that now! I never did before. It went straight in the trash bin if I didn't like it, just a year or two ago.

Yeah, I've thrown away some extremely juvenile stuff. However, you should always be on the lookout for an old metaphor or line that's well-written and can be expanded on.

That's very true. I had several journals I threw out. They were, as you've said, rather juvenile, but also about moving on from my past. I've had several phrases I've kept and expanded on, or keep mixing up. It's amazing what a few words can inspire.
